Indiespace
(
http://indiespace.com)
is an Internet-based entertainment, technology and
marketing company committed to helping high-tech
independent musicians, filmmakers, visual artists,
game developers, authors and performers develop
their careers in emerging areas including
the online and mobile game industries, e- and
m-commerce, and rich-media web environments.
Indiespace provides artists and companies with
marketing strategies using online gaming, instant
messaging, text messaging and other
"post-Internet" networks. Services
include integrated marketing/publicity consulting,
technology training, game development, music
licensing & supervision, and project
development.
Founded
as one of the original sites on the web by independent musician and entrepreneur Jeannie
Novak in January 1994, Indiespace has provided secure e-commerce, licensing,
supervision, clearance, distribution, and career
support services for independent musicians, artists,
filmmakers, authors and performers. As one of the
first Internet companies in existence, Indiespace
pioneered the online distribution model for music
products -- allowing musicians without major label
distribution to bring their products directly to
the consumer.
With the rise of specialty e-commerce websites,
Indiespace shifted its focus to consulting and
project development in the "post
Internet" world of massively multiplayer
online games, mobile games, e- and m-commerce, and
other extensions of the online environment.
Today, Indiespace provides educational and
consulting services designed to help artists and
companies in education, music, film, and art find
their way into the post-Internet high-tech
environment. How does a musician get their tune
into a ringtone? Indiespace can show the steps.
How can a filmmaker use the lateral marketing
enabled by Instant Messaging (IM) systems?
Indiespace can define a strategy for ultra-lateral
marketing bypassing traditional advertising. How
can online education programs benefit from
media-rich gaming environments? Indiespace can
provide a roadmap to make educational software
more interesting. How will the rise of the new
"Millennial" generation (born after
1982) dramatically shift teen entertainment
away from "GenY" edgyness? Indiespace
has the answers. How can an indie musician promote
their work online? Indiespace can create a
tailor-made package of the necessary services
independents need to promote and distribute their
work online.
As
a company, Indiespace prides itself on offering
personal service to both the artist and customer.
Our mission is to strengthen the link between independent
artists and their fans, and each of our staff members
works tirelessly to fulfill this goal.
Note: Indiespace is not a talent agency,
artist discovery service or record label. We
provide consulting and support on a paid basis
only.
